demonstrations and workshops

We are very excited to welcome Hashim Akib to our Art Society again this year.

In this workshop, you’ll be shown how to loosen up and be more confident with acrylics by using large brushes, bold colour and less drawing at the start. 

​

There will be two projects to work on, a still life at the start and a coastal scene in the second half.  Hash will be doing a short demonstration for both projects, with plenty of one to one support thereafter. Hash will be providing reference material unless you’d like to bring along your own. The workshop is suitable for all, just bring along an open mind.

Here is the list of the specific acrylic colours and brushes that I use. DON'T PANIC if you don't have the colours, brand or brushes suggested as these are just recommendations, please bring along what you have. 

​

There is sign post directing you to the hall, which is opposite the Bell Pub and the Garage. This short lane takes you to the Hall.  Parking is to the rear and side of the Hall.  

​

The Hall will be open from 9.30am for setting up and the kettle will be on!  The course will start at 10.00am, finishing at 4.00pm. We'll have a 40-minute break for lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring along your own lunch.

These artist-led workshops, organised by the Vale of Evesham Art Society, are one of the best benefits that

member can enjoy. We have secured exclusive deals for you as members and these workshops are offered to

you at the cost of £40 (member), £60 (non-member) per course, which is generally about half the price of workshops advertised to the public. This is fee is comparative to nearby much larger art societies and we are delighted that you can enjoy them as part of your VofEAS membership.

Cancellation Policy: 

Notice of more than 7 days needs to be given for the Art Society to offer a full refund.

If cancelling within 7 days: If you can fill your place with another member, your fees will be reimbursed.

If cancelling due to illness within 7 days, 25% of the course fees will be retained to cover workshop costs.
